APPLICATIONS FOR FALL CLOSED
DROP SQUAD CREW - is Drop Zone's performance and training crew for beginner and beginner/intermediate adult dancers (21+). No auditions required and flexible commitment. Work on gaining confidence in your dancing though mixed-styles choreography, performance techniques and individual feedback. Deepen your understanding of grooves, musicality, and rhythm. Learn from guest instructors. Make friends along the way. Training is better with a supportive community! Fall 2024 session will be run by Kimy Calva
To allow you flexibility in your adult life, DROP SQUAD runs in 8 week sessions. You can join this training for as many sessions in the year as your schedule allows.
Drop Squad prioritizes enrollment for BIPOC dancers in order to foster a diverse community in which they feel comfortable. All are welcome although we must ensure the group is at least 60% BIPOC.

Your tuition includes 2 Drop Zone classes per week. Choreo 1/2 with Kimy on Wednesdays and a class of your choosing.

COST
You choose the tier that is financially feasible and applicable to you. Payment is per month (4 weeks). You will be required to make 2 payments of the tier you choose. This payment covers a 2hr weekly rehearsal AND 2 classes per week.
$350 ($700 total): I have enough funds for 100% value of this program plus a bit extra to contribute to the scholarship fund
$300 ($600 total): I have enough funds for ~85% value of this program
$250($500 total): I have limited disposable income and can invest ~70% value of the program
Financial Hardship Tier: Available for black, brown, indigenous and/or trans people who are on a highly limited budget
$210 ($420 total): I have limited disposable income and I am a black, brown, indigenous and/or trans person. I can invest 60% value of the program.)
Custom Partial Scholarship Tier: Limited amount available reserved for black, brown, indigenous and/or trans people who are experiencing extreme financial hardship and are struggling to meet basic needs
$125-$160(limited available, total $250-320): I am currently experiencing financial hardship and am a black, brown, indigenous and/or trans person in financial need. I can invest 30-50% value of this program.
Work Study: 1 Position Left
I have capacity to assist Drop Zone for a total of 2.5-4 hrs per week as a check in assistant, community builder, videographer or graphic designer. DRIP - is Drop Zone's audition-based performance and training company for intermediate and intermediate/advanced adult dancers (21+). While Hip Hop will be the primary focus of this company, we will also incorporate elements of technique from Contemporary, Ballet and Jazz styles. You will end your session with at least one performance, choreographic piece or dance concept video.
To allow you flexibility in your adult life, DRIP runs in 8 week sessions. You can join the company for as many sessions in the year as your schedule allows, as each session will have a new instructor with a new goal. Fall 2024 Session will be run by Jade Jordan!

REQUIREMENTS
21+
2+ current and consistent years of dance training in foundations and choreography. Experience on past training teams preferred.
Ability to retain and execute level 2 and level 2/3 choreography classes
Audition tape of doing level 2 and level 2/3 choreography (videos of you in class are acceptable). Choreo can not be your own choreo.

Your tuition includes 2 classes. Choreo 2/3 with Jade on Wednesdays and a class of your choosing.

ON A BREAK
Waves is a new Contemporary Training program available for beginner dancers or intermediate dancers new to Contemporary. You will learn technique, terminology, body awareness/safety and more.
You will end your 8 week session with an outdoor dance project but your main focus will be training sessions with Erkah Gomez.
