Sundays

  • 3:30-4:30pm Hip Hop Choreo 1/2 with Tierra Coleman

    This class with be about exploring music, movement & style. It will lean harder on the intermediate level but it will be a great place for returning dancers/beginning dancers to feel comfortable to challenge & enjoy themselves. My goal is to create an open level space where everyone walks away feeling like they did that!

  • 4:30-5:30pm Jazz Funk Choreo 1/2 with Dan Perez

    This will be a beginner level jazz funk class. Focusing on textures, lines, & exploring movement. The style will be jazz funk based while being influenced by contemporary hiphop, & commercial dance. The genres of music will fall between R&B, hip hop, pop, alternative & more.

    Dan is directing Drop Squad Spring ‘25 season, this class is a requirement. More info + sign up here.

  • April 13th-June 8th* 5:45-7:30pm DROP SQUAD REHEARSAL: BEG + BEG/INT TRAINING

    SPRING APPLICATIONS OPEN

    April 13th-June 8th*, 8 weeks

    DROP SQUAD CREW - is Drop Zone's performance and training crew for beginner and beginner adult dancers (21+). No auditions required and flexible commitment. Work on gaining confidence in your dancing though mixed-styles choreography, performance techniques and individual feedback. Deepen your understanding of grooves, musicality, and rhythm. Learn from guest instructors. Make friends along the way. Training is better with a supportive community! Spring 2025 season will be led by Dan Perez!

    To allow you flexibility in your adult life, DROP SQUAD runs in 8 week sessions. You can join this training for as many sessions in the year as your schedule allows.

    Drop Squad prioritizes enrollment for BIPOC dancers in order to foster a diverse community in which they feel comfortable. All are welcome although we must ensure the group is at least 60% BIPOC.

Mondays

  • 6:00-7:00pm Intro to Hip Hop Series with Lex Ramirez

    This class is designed for beginners who want to learn hip hop history, party grooves and foundation. This class will help students improve the quality of their dance movement as well as ensure they approach choreography classes, most rooted in hip hop foundation, with respect and knowledge. You will also learn about musicality, rhythm, textures and free styling. Lex is very warm, welcoming and fun. This is a great place and person to start your journey with.

    Series recommended, drop-ins welcome!

  • *Starting May 5th* 6:00-7:00pm Intro to Choreo Series with Lex Ramirez

    This class is designed for beginners and will give you tools to help you practice, retain and pick up choreography. You will also learn class etiquette and how to be a proactive student. Lex uses a variety of styles in her choreography including, but not limited to, hip hop, jazz funk, reggaeton, house and sensual. You’ll have fun and learn so much more than dance in the process!

    Series recommended, drop-ins welcome!

    DRIP - is Drop Zone's audition-based performance and training company for intermediate adult dancers (21+). Drop Zone's audition-based training company for intermediate and intermediate/advanced adult dancers (21+). While Hip Hop and Choreography will be the primary focuses of this company, we will also train in performance, street styles and more. It’s time to elevate your dancing in a supportive community!

    To allow you flexibility in your adult life, DRIP runs in 8 week sessions. You can join the company for as many sessions in the year as your schedule allows, as each session will have a new instructor with a new goal. Spring 2025 session will be run by Kimy Calva!

  • 6:00-7:00pm Hip Hop Choreo 2/3 with Elise Walker

    This class is an intermediate-level hip-hop class informed by my background in ballet, jazz, and contemporary, perfect for dancers looking to refine their musicality and movement quality. My choreography blends fluid transitions with strong, grounded textures, emphasizing control and dynamics. I love working with a mix of R&B, alternative, and hip-hop music, using the lyrics and rhythm to guide movement. This class will challenge you while fostering a supportive, creative environment.

  • 7:10-8:10pm Jazz Funk Choreo Level 2/3 with Kimy Calva

    This is a Jazz Funk level 2/3 class. Aimed toward intermediate dancers, this class will push you to retain choreo while focusing on the performance and character side of dance. Kimy's style of choreo is a huge mix- commercial dance, hip hop, jazz funk, etc. As far as music goes, she loves femme artists, pop music, dance music, new hit songs. Check insta [@kimycalva] before class to find a song reveal for the day! This class is great whether you’re a beginner looking for a push, just want to have fun in a dance class, or really want to grow!
